Milligan not eyeing permanent switch

Australia international Mark Milligan has rubbished reports that he wants to make his loan deal from JEF United to from Melbourne Victory a permanent one.

I can only comment on the few weeks that I have been here and it seems to be coming together.

The Victory have acquired Milligan's services for the rest of the A-League season in a bid to qualify for the finals and the Socceroos defender made his Victory debut in last weekend's 0-0 stalemate against Melbourne Heart and it was quite clear that he had no problems fitting in the backline of his new club.
But the 26-year old stopper had made it clear that his fine start to Victory career doesn't mean that he wants to leave his parent J-League club.
In a recent interview, Milligan said: "I don't think so. I am quite enjoying Japan, my family likes it. Maybe in the not-too-distant future I'll return to Australia, but at the moment I am still quite settled overseas.
"This stint here now was a good chance for me to get home and play in front of the Australian public again."
The struggling Melbourne giants haven't won a single game since the board installed Jim Magilton as their coach, but Milligan believes it won't be long before the squad gels together and starts firing on all cylinders.
"(Magilton) came in and had his plan and I think slowly the boys are taking to that. I can only comment on the few weeks that I have been here and it seems to be coming together," he added.
Next up for the Victory is a home clash with Central Coast Mariners on Friday, with Melbourne 2.40 to inflict a rare defat on the A-League leaders, with the draw 3.40.
