Bleiberg blames loss on congestion

Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg has put the blame of his side's 4-0 defeat against Perth Glory on congested fixtures and fatigue from non-stop travelling.

It's not easy but we're not complaining, we have to cope with it.

Bleiberg's men conceded a goal early in the game and never looked like a serious threat to their opponents' goal. They then conceded three times in the second half to cap off another miserable game of football for the club and its fans.
Their outspoken manager did admit that his team were totally dominated by the in-form Glory, but he also mentioned that the fixture list has not been kind to his players, who are apparently jaded from too much travelling.
Bleiberg then said that he doesn't want to use it as an excuse for their abysmal performance, but the problem was so obvious and severe for him that he couldn't resist it.
The GCU coach said: "The fresher team - I think they hadn't played in 10 days - the more experienced team and the better team overall won. We played in Tasmania on Wednesday, we flew here on Thursday and we were sitting here Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, so we're tired. It's tiring, that was eight days on the road.
"It's not easy but we're not complaining, we have to cope with it. It (the loss) hurt our pride as a club, hurt me as a coach and hurt the players.
"It wasn't an easy day for me. It was one of those days like when you go to work and the boss screams at you and then the car doesn't start and then your wife screams at you again and then the dog is sick so you have to take him to the vet. That was my day today."
Gold Coast are 2.40 to win at home to Adelaide United on Sunday, with the draw 3.50 and Adelaide 2.75 to secure all three points.
