Cutting wants to raise level

Fast bowler Ben Cutting has confessed that he is nowhere near his best and was lacking his usual rhythm in his comeback game for his stateside Queensland.
Cutting was on the verge of playing test cricket for Australia at the start of this summer but an ill-timed side strain spoiled his international cricket plans and forced him to the sidelines.

I didn't bowl that well to be honest. I'm a long way from best.

He recently returned to action for the Bulls but was clearly not at his best as the Warriors batsmen punished him for his uncharacteristically wayward bowling.
Queensland are 1213.00 to win the 2011/12 Ryobi Cup, with Tasmania available at 1.90.

However, his fiery fast bowling style was still there to be seen on day two of this Sheffield Shield match. One of his rising bouncers hit Marcus North on the helmet, which had to be immediately replaced. Then Shaun Marsh also copped one on the chest, which reminded him that he is facing one of the most lethal fast bowlers on the Australian domestic circuit.
But Cutting himself was certainly not happy with his performance on the day and he spoke his mind at the end of the play.
"I didn't bowl that well to be honest. I'm a long way from best. I've certainly bowled better than that with worse results. Some days you bowl a hell of a lot of maidens and catches drop short, but today I just got pretty lucky. But five-for is five-for and I'm very happy to take it," Cutting said.
"I was really surprised with how I pulled up this morning. There was no sign of fatigue even towards the end of my spell today. It's just about getting overs under my belt and getting my rhythm back. Every spell I felt better, yesterday and today."
